One word….SPEECHLESS! Most of you are aware by now of the incomparable “Stone Mansion” located in prestigious Alpine, NJ. The 30,000 square foot home was built in 2010 and has been on & off the market ever since then. It boasts 12 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a ballroom, indoor basketball court, 11-car garage and much more.
Well, only 1 hour away, a near replica is being built and is nearing completion. It is located at 480 Bernardsville Road on 11 acres in Mendham, NJ, and of course, was designed by the same architect as the Stone Mansion; James Paragano. It is being built by a different builder however; Longeri Construction, Inc.
As you can see, there are a few differences. The biggest difference is that the garages & motor court are swapped. Instead of being on the left side of the home like the Stone Mansion, it’s on the right side. The home also looks smaller.
