A L Builders started constructing the sprawling mansion, costing $23 million, in mid 2008. The home is now valued at $33 million. The land was bought for $9.4 million back in 2005. The 30,000+ square foot mega mansion is located on The Sovereign Islands in Queensland. Plans shows the super mansion also has a guest wing, a library on two levels, a gym overlooking the ocean, a steam room, spa, plunge pool, indoor garden, theatre, two offices, billiards room opening out to uninterrupted ocean views, a 30m pool, wine cellar and a basement carpark the size of a small shopping centre parking lot. The kitchen, which also opens to an outdoor dining-entertaining area on the ocean front, is the size of a small house. Upstairs, children’s bedrooms take up one wing while the master bedroom sprawls across the other wing and out onto a balcony. The ensuite — larger than most average-sized rooms — will have ‘his and her’ showers and a huge bathtub with ocean views. (sigh) If only this home was being built in my neighborhood!!!
