Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia and his wife Amber just closed the deal to buy a $15 million mansion in cash. He got a “good” deal and is now only paying $14.9 million. This reminds me of when Mary J Blige paid $12.9 million in cash for her mansion in Saddle River. C.C’s house was on the market for only two months. The 12,000 square foot mansion has a motor court, three-car garage, 6 bedrooms, and 7.5 bathrooms. It is located on Litchfield Way in Alpine, NJ. C.C has a $161 million contract, so I guess this splurge isn’t really a big deal to him. In my opinion, this home is not worth $15 million as it only has 12,000 square feet. Mary J Blige’s home has 18,000 square feet and cost $2 million less. I think he should have bought this home. C.C bought the home from Pharrell Williams’ manager, Rob Walker. Rob sold the home, because he fell in love with another home that is close by and is in the $15 – 20 million range.
