The last time we talked about the well-known Updown Court estate, it was heaved back onto the market in June of this year with a price tag of £75,000,000 or $123,120,000.  After being on and off market for 6 long years, with a listing high of $143.5 million, it now has a new price tag…..$65,000,000. That’s right. The 50,000 square foot mega estate can be yours for just $65 million, which some might consider a bargain. The lavish estate is located in the Surrey village of Windlesham in the United Kingdom, which is about an hour away from London. It is situated on 58 acres of land and has a $6 million marble heated driveway and a total of 103 rooms which include 24 bedrooms each with their own marble bathroom, two lane bowling alley, five swimming pools, squash court, tennis court, wine cellar, 50 seat home theater and it’s own panic room.

MTV has a new show out called “Extreme Cribs”. It introduces you to people who have taken unconventional living to a whole new level. On this episode, we are given a tour of the “Copper Palace”, a futuristic house owned by Barbi Benton (former playmate) and her developer husband George Gradow. It is located on Starwood Drive in Aspen, CO. Comprising five copper pods connected by stairways, the 25,000-square-foot building is cantilevered in sections to provide views from all areas of the house. Each pod has its own function: The living and entertaining pod, for example, has both a disco and a ballroom. Other features include a gym, a theater and two heated lap pools. The house, which is set on 40 acres in, was designed by architect Bart Prince. They put the home on the market back in 2001 with a price tag of $25,000,000.

In the 1980s, Roxanne Pulitzer’s bitter divorce from an heir to the Pulitzer publishing fortune made her the subject of headline-grabbing accusations ranging from cocaine use to occult rituals, all set in the wealthy enclave of Palm Beach, Fla.

Three decades and a few husbands later, Ms. Pulitzer, 60, appears to enjoy a quieter life today, though she said she does enjoy sleeping in late and drinking wine in the afternoon. She and her fifth husband, Tim Boberg, have focused lots of energy, and money, on their 23,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom home, set on 3½ acres overlooking the San Miguel Mountains. Decorated in a style that’s best described as log-mountain-lodge-meets-Palm Beach, the house has a bowling alley, an indoor shooting range, a putting green, an indoor lap pool and a waterfall. There’s also a replica of a labyrinth in Chartres, France, 45 feet in diameter.

After adding nearly every amenity they could think of, Ms. Pulitzer and Mr. Boberg, a 64-year-old retired co-founder of a large management consulting firm, said they’ve run out of house projects. So they’ve decided to sell, putting their house on the market earlier this year for $19.9 million, making it one of the most expensive listings in this remote mountain community.
