Today was a beautiful day so I decided to drive around the town of Saddle River, NJ and take some pictures of mansions. Hope you enjoy them! The last one is by far my favorite. It’s located on Twin Brooks Road and has been under construction for years. It’s GORGEOUS in person! Out of all the homes pictured above, which one is more your style? I personally LOVE French Chateau/European inspired homes, so the last one definitely stole my heart.

Here are 6 amazing mansions that we’ve toured in our home state of New Jersey! Labeled are the years we toured each home. We’ve toured lots more, but these are our favorite! Number 1,2,3 & 5 we toured because we got invited to them by the homeowners themselves. Number 4 we toured because they were holding an estate sale. Number 6 we toured because it was the 2008 Designer Showhouse of New Jersey. Guess which one was our favorite……yup, the Stone Mansion!!!

#1 - The $56 million Stone Mansion located at 1 Frick Drive in Alpine, NJ.

#2 - A 25,000 square foot mansion located on Tulip Tree Lane in Alpine, NJ.

#3 - A $14.75 million French Chateau mansion located at 5 Buckingham Drive in Alpine, NJ.

#4 - Russell Simmons’ former 35,000 square foot mega mansion located at 101 Fox Hedge Road in Saddle River, NJ.

#5 - A $13.995 million 19,000 square foot Limestone mansion located at 12 Warewoods Road in Saddle River, NJ.

#6 - A 10,000+ square foot mansion located at 20 Denison Drive East in Saddle River, NJ.

CBS 2 reporter Emily Smith took a tour of 105 Chestnut Ridge Road in Saddle River, NJ for a “Living Large” segment. The 25,000 square foot Corinthian stone manor  is situated on 4.4 acres and took 7 years to design. It features 5 bedrooms, two 2-car garages, indoor swimming pool, USTA grade tennis court and much more. It is listed at $19,000,000.

Back in July we posted about this newly built 25,000 square foot 24-room stone mansion located at 105 Chestnut Ridge Road in Saddle River, NJ. Well we just found out that the CORE Group in NYC now has the listing and has put up high quality pictures along with floor plans. The mega mansion is situated on 4.5 flat acres and features a 2-story foyer with wraparound balcony, banquet sized reception rooms, 5 bedrooms, 7 full and 2 half bathrooms, indoor swimming pool with two 24 foot water features, 5 fireplaces, porte-cochere with courtyard parking, 4-car garage, massive terraces, lighted tennis court and more. Yankees pitcher C.C Sabathia and his family live in this 15,000+ square foot mansion located at 44 Litchfield Way in Alpine, NJ. He bought the home from Pharrell Williams’ manager, Rob Walker, back in April of 2009 for $14.9 million in cash. That’s nothing considering he has a contract worth a whopping $160 million. The home features 6 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, indoor basketball court, home theater with concession stand, game room, hair/beauty salon, infinity swimming pool, custom playground and much more.

New Jersey’s infamous and MASSIVE Blairsden estate is now under contract! The 62,000 square foot historic estate is located at 30 Blair Drive in Peapack-Gladstone, NJ. Set high atop the Bernardsville mountains on 34 acres of land, this Louis XIII style mansion was originally owned by the banker/railroad magnate/stock exchange tycoon Clinton Ledyard Blair. It was designed by Carrere and Hastings Architects and construction began in 1898 and was completed in 1903. In February 1949, Clinton died at the age of 82. The following year Blairsden and 50 acres of property were sold for an estimated $65,000 to the Sisters of St. John the Baptist. The Sisters then sold it for $5 million a few years later. It appeared on the market last year with an insanely cheap asking price of just $4,900,000. We do not know how much it sold for yet, but if it sold at or near the listing price then whoever bought it got quite the deal!
