You can finally see this home in bird’s eye view!! I was super pumped when guest blogger Al Robinson shared this info with me. I am in LOVE with this home, although I think the price is crazy. The next thing is to try and get a tour of this beauty! Who’s with me?!

This 32,000 square foot mega mansion sits just off of Closter Dock Road in the affluent suburb of Alpine, NJ. This home is situated on 5 acres and comes with a 250 foot long driveway, a motor court, ballroom, great room , conservatory, formal galleries, 3 kitchens, 4 stair halls, movie theater, full size indoor basketball court, wine cellar, exercise room, massage room , elevator, and last but not least, 8 bedroom suites and 13 bathrooms. It is the first house to be built in a subdivision of a dozen or so homes that are going to be priced at $30 million and up. This particular home went on the market for a staggering $42,500,000 about 2 years ago. Then, the price jumped to an even more mind numbing $52 million. However, the estate seems to be off the market now. After rejecting an offer around $36 million, the builder Richard Kurtz took it off the market and, we hear, plans to move in with his wife, Patti.

Former Citigroup executive and Heisman Trophy winner Pete Dawkins has listed his 18,000 sq. ft. waterfront mansion in Rumson, NJ for $29,900,000. Built in 2004, the mansion boasts 5 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a 6-car garage, and it has breathtaking views of the Navesink River. It was featured in architectual digest a couple years ago and he has been in a very long legal battle with his neighbor (Wall Street CEO Michael Gooch) over his plans to knock down a pool house and build new staff quarters. Thanks to Doug for the tip!!

HERE ARE THE LISTING DETAILS:

One of the East Coast’s most illustrious estates, Long Point occupies a premier location on a private peninsula surrounded by the glistening waters of the Navesink River. Offering a rare sense of seclusion, yet convenient to the charming town center and the area’s beautiful ocean beaches, the grounds afford wondrous vistas of the river – a wide bay-like estuary bordered on the north shore by the Monmouth Hills – one of the highest elevations along the eastern coastline.
