Baseball great Cecil Fielder’s former mansion sold for $1,165,000 at auction on Thursday, May 27th. The estate, which is the largest in Brevard County, was purchased by Cecil for $3,750,000 back in 1995. So, I say that the new owner just got quite the steal! This is a nicely done Mediterranean style home in Naples, Florida. The interior is just great, with nice detailing and woodwork and it is very spacious for “just” 8000 sq. ft. A lot of the rooms have very large openings to make for partially outdoor rooms which would be a great feature in the summer. Aside from the backyard, the house also has a study and theater. The house is a brand new construction located in the country club neighborhood called Port Royal. The house is listed at $12,950,000 which sounds way too high compared to the other houses in the area, but 127 feet of waterfront comes with that premium I guess. I’m in heaven =). It seems as though the estate’s listing agent has put up a website dedicated to the monstrosity that is “Versailles”. Now that’s more like it!!  The website features a video, a few pics, and info on the 90,000 square foot, $100 million home. However, there is another website with a virtual tour and 125 large photos of most of the rooms. While it’s still under construction, I still think it’s awesome to see the sheer size of all of the rooms. They are all basically 2-1/2 stories high! When I was looking at the virtual tour, I couldn’t help but stare in awe. The home is so voluminous it seems like a museum. I think this home has MAJOR potential. What do you guys think?!!!!!
