Jim Ingvale, the founder of Gallery Furniture in Houston, and his wife are building a $10 million mansion on Lake Travis. The home, which is in the Lago Vista area, will have 26,000 square feet of living space in the main house alone. There will also be a 6,000 square foot, 10 bedroom guest house on the property. These two mega-mansions probably look like normal homes when you take a look at the front of them while driving, but when you take a look at the aerial views of them, it is a whole different story. These two homes are the weirdest mega-mansions I have seen yet. They are like big rectangles that have very little windows and look like institutions. Both homes are located at 2552 County Road 59 in Manvel. The first home measures in at a whopping 31,696 square feet and has 13 bedrooms and 13.6 bathrooms. It was once on the market for only $3 million! CLICK HERE for more pictures and info. It is owned by Dr. Ulysses Watkins, the founder of Family Care Medical Clinic. The second home measures in a mind numbing 60,000 square feet. It is also said to be owned by Dr. Ulysses Watkins as well. The home has a reported 20 bedrooms and a 13-car garage. This 9 bedroom, 12 bathroom mansion sits on a 10.5 acre waterfront lot on the edge of Lake Austin. It was built in 2001 and contains close to 16,000 of grand living space. The impressive and stunning foyer contains a double bridal staircsae with intricate wrought iron handrail, a crystal chandelier, and a domed ceiling with hand painted mural. The home has a formal parlor, elaborate dining room, gourmet kitchen, wine cellar, summer kitchen, guest house, swimming pool, boat slip, and a helipad.

I do not know any other information about these homes and all I have are the pictures. I found them on a website that does stone and brick work for mansions. If anyone has any other information about these homes, like their addresses and who built them , then please email me. I really love the first home. The brick and stone exterior is amazing and the architectural details are astounding. I also love the many turrets as well as the motor court. This home would definitely be on my list of what I would want my ideal dream home to look like.

This is the home of Jasper and Marian Sanfilippo. Jasper is the founder of John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. The company is one of the largest processors, manufacturers, and distributors in the world dedicated primarily to edible nuts. The house sits on 57 acres bordering a stream with a house that was originally built in 1974 at 6,000 sq. ft.They added a 1,700 sq. ft. music room, but in the late ’80′s a decision was made to add a huge music room addition on and one that would have room for a balcony and a new pipe organ of 5 manuals and 80 ranks. A WurliTzer! The new wing was completed in the French Empire style in 1992 and brings the square footage to 44,000.The house is called, “Place de la Musique”.
Their son built a 20,000+ square foot tudor style mega-mansion just down the street. (last two pictures)
