Starts out with lavish landscaping and a gorgeous elevation, then a 2 story foyer, but after that all the principle first floor rooms are low-volume spaces crushed under the upstairs bedrooms. Better to have fewer bedrooms on the second floor (that’s what guest houses are for), and leave some volume over the first floor to create seriously impressive public rooms. After all, this is a $24 million mansion, and every public room should inspire a breath-taking double-take. Instead, they all fail, miserably. The office is a disaster. Desks built into the corners? Really? I don’t see a single space that even remotely reflects the $2300+/square foot asking price. A 3 car garage? Reality check: Folks who can afford this probably own a nice collection of rides, ya think? Duh!

Hmm, I like this one. There’s nothing super-special about it, but everything (except the office/library, IMO) is nicely done and appealing.

Still, for $24mil, I think I’d need a little more. If this were half that price, it would be delightful.
