Finally, somebody understands that a dream home must come with a dream garage! Now just replace most of those white tiles with wooden floors, and we’re in business. I would like to put in my bid of A$10.

Australian architects are as bad as their British brethren – the notion of a compartmentalized bathroom is still a mystery. As for that 20 car garage – as long as you don’t plan on driving half your fleet because it will be blocked in by the other half, you’re good to go. There are no ornamental ceilings – guess that’s hard to do when most of the ceilings are cluttered with HVAC grates and soffit light cans Looks like a pretty small lot..

I actually did a bit of calculations here: the garage is 25×18. A standard car space is 2.7×6. If my math is right this garage could theoretically fit 27 cars, if you could drop them in by crane 🙂
So yes, they are exaggerating but that’s a standard, if regrettable practice. This is still a decent size garage, should be good for at least ten cars plus a few bikes.

The ceilings look like they belong in a cubicle farm, and the layout is bizarre. Who thought the mech belonged right off the foyer?

The kitchen’s nice, though. In fact, most of the individual rooms are nice. It’s the overall effect which isn’t working for me.

Maybe I’d use meals/family as a gathering area, turn the small “living room” into a music room, and use the upstairs retreat as family space. That could work.

Tennis Court is a waste of space, not there is much of that anyway…. the grates in all the ceilings, who the F came up with that stupid idea.
