Gorgeous mansion on an incredibly verdant site. The only problem (which cost it a star) is, except the foyer, all the principle public rooms were designed underneath upper floor rooms, and have very low ceilings. Sadly, there are no monumental spaces to drool over. (??? – Picture #19 – the large bedroom in the upper right corner – there’s no door off the hall. The only way in is to climb up the outside of the building and come in through the balcony.)

I am quite positive the house is not designed this way. You are just so driven to find the negative in every listing, aren’t you?

Just lookin’ at the floor plans. If you see a door in, lemme know. And I am not driven to find fault. I like, and indeed love, many homes featured here. I just have an eccentric set of standards for a mansion, and a short fuse for obvious failings. Especially when the seller is asking for millions and millions of dollars for his efforts. Merry Christmas!

This is a proper mansion, indeed. I am obsessed with the grander on the foyer / entrance. Really love all it has to offer. Now, the interiors, despite being very grand need a lot of redesigning. Everything feels very outdated and dreary, almost. I reckon there is too much beige and brown in this home so a thoughtful color scheme plan would be ideal. Some rooms like the master need a complete overhaul of furniture, wallpaper and/or paint to make it feel cozy and substantial. Loads of potential for this incredibly beautiful home 🙂
