Aerial

Here are some updated aerial pics of the 100,000 square foot mega compound being built in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The Contemporary/Modern style compound is being built by film producer/developer Nile Niami on a 4-acre hilltop lot.

Once completed (hopefully by next year), it will be put on the market for a whopping $500 million, which would make it the most expensive property ever listed in America. It is comprised of a 74,000 square foot main house and 3 smaller homes. Features will include 20 bedrooms, 30 bathrooms, 30-car garage, “Monaco style” casino, 40-seat home theater and 5 swimming pools (including a 180′ infinity pool).

I know, I know Kenny….I’ve gone AT IT, BIG time with “horselips” over the years but he doesn’t seem to show up here very much anymore. Hopefully you get me…..I LOVE, repeat love beautiful, big houses but as I’ve matured and gotten smarter, my tolerance for the NUCLEAR POWERED EXCESS has gone so far below zero that I’ve forever lost it. I have infinitely more respect and admiration for someone who’s got an impeccably designed, furnished and decorated 1,000 sq. ft. apartment rather than your average multi-million/billionaire’s 20,000 sq. ft. monstrosity that the owners/designers ran out of true good taste and real need for just 1/2 of the place the day they finished it. Luxury and space, yes…..even just somewhat excess luxury and space sometimes, sure……but the GARGANTUAN materialism and ego of the eternal parade of Morons who are so insecure to have it and try to promote jealousy and satisfy their monstrous ego, most definitely NO.

Afficianado – I wish I could comment more regularly, but a while back something happened between my computer and Disqus and the comment box doesn’t recognize me. I created a number of alternate IDs, and it takes me up to a dozen login/logout/login before I can get “in.”
