Awesome. I love 80% of it. A monument to being monumental. High quality materials and very skilled craftsmanship lavished throughout. No phony-baloney egalitarian modesty or restraint here. Just guilt-free wretched excess. Enjoy!

I bet the electric bill on this monstrosity is topping $5k/mo in the summer.

Probably one of the most boring looking, giant houses i’ve seen. That front entrance looks like a hotel lobby. Definitely not a comfy looking home.

Lordy! Those breathtaking crystal chandeliers would be right at home in the Winter Palace, Versailles, Buckingham Palace, or Caserta. The sculpted fireplace in the dining alcove kicks ass. The marble flooring is a knockout, the joinery is acceptable, the embellishments to the ceilings, moldings and framing are nicely done. The relative paucity of wall hangings validates this beautiful mansion’s ability to speak for itself. The superimposed balustraded patios are impressive.
Sadly there are a few issues. This palace does not belong on a one acre lot. That little 8 or 10 foot deep greenbelt between the pool decking and the backyard fence is pathetic. Twice the land or more would have been more appropriate. The listing claims 13 parking spaces, HOTR says 8, but I only see 2 garage doors. That means either cars are parked in tandem in the garage (meaning you can’t drive that one until you move this one, take that one out, and then put this one back), or just as bad, they’re including outside spaces. With 21,000 square feet on hand, the architect couldn’t design (or squeeze in) a porte-cochere? We have monsoon seasons here in Arizona, when it rains like a sonavabitch, and it would be unseemly for an arriving or departing guest to get wet. There’s no mention of an elevator. There should be two.
Also, this is Arizona, not California. When you build a mansion this big, you include an indoor shooting range. Duhh. Sheesh.
