What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas… but everybody in Vegas will know about it because everybody can see in everyone else’s home.

For Twelve Million American Bucks, I sure have to give up a lot – privacy, tennis court, B-ball court, putting green, privacy, elaborate formal garden, a nice shady arbor, privacy, a guest house for company or staff, Lord knows what else – all because the laughable 2/3 acre lot is almost completely covered by the large mansion. No privacy. Unacceptable. End of story.
The house itself, emphasizing superimposed horizontal planes – obviously an attempt at an updated interpretation of F. L. Wright’s “Prairie Style” on steroids – is actually quite nice considering what most contemporary efforts deliver. Perhaps that’s more a function of grand dimensions than elegant materials or fine workmanship – the Home Office is especially disappointing.
Bottom line, the whole package demands too many sacrifices. Did I mention no privacy?
