That’s not much of a lake, this is more of a “puddlefront” or “pondfront” home. And the half-acre lot is pathetic. But the house itself punches way above its light 7106 sq. ft. weight. The elevation, with all its detailing – quoins, arched windows, gated entry, copper roof, and extensive exterior lighting is very imposing and impressive. And inside, the detailing never quits. Tall 2 story decorated ceilings, unfluted marble Corinthian columns, marble floors, and lots of elegant (but not overdone) joinery, and beautiful fixtures combine for a very classy atmosphere. If I were having din-din in that dining room, I would feel obliged to dress for the occasion. The large loggia, complete with built-in BBQ, large pool and spa make outdoor entertaining as easy as it is inside. Nitpicks – the home office, although beautiful, has a weird layout – no millionaire mogul wants his desk facing the wall and his back to the seating area, and that little family room, which appears to be just an ‘area’ off the kitchen, needs a wall to hang a TV on. Yes, the home has a theater, but the family room provides a different ambiance for watching and chatting. Bottom Line: Very nicely done, checks a lot of boxes for its size and price.

No land is a glaring issue. I mean a half acre? Come on now

I’m tellin ya’……the entire state of Florida should get some kind of award for the most ghastly, gauche, vulgar and egomaniacal DRECK mcmansions in the whole country. This house and its “decor” have all the appeal of a fresh pile left by a bull elephant, all the subtlety of a derailed locomotive, all the truly good taste of STYROFOAM and all the general attractiveness of a growing staph infection that’s reached FATAL levels.
