This is ridiculously, depressingly, bad. It takes NW Beige interior design to an entirely new low. One can currently buy an empty 2.2 acre lot in Sammamish for $2.5 million which means that the house itself, this monument to poor design and mediocre materials, would be worth $2.65 million; that’s laughable.

For the same money one could have this (albeit poorly staged), on double the acreage, with spectacular views of the Sound, and in a guard-gated enclave with old growth trees that was originally laid out by the Olmsted brothers: http://www.coldwellbankerbain.com/Home/WA/Shoreline/81-Olympic-Dr-98177/34287760

If you want to live closer to Seattle, for the same money there’s this: http://www.estately.com/listings/info/107-dorffel-dr-e It’s smaller than the Sammamish house but it’s in an entirely different league.

It’s so bad it’s actually impressive. The exterior is almost nightmarish and the interior is simply comical : it’s like if somebody who had never seen a house or an mansion before, tried to design one based on vague verbal destrictions alone. I can’t look at that fireplace in the kitchen whithout chuckling.
