Yes, yes, yes, it’s all very big and nice, but anybody with $80 million to blow on a roof isn’t likely to settle for somebody else’s concept – for that sum you could have every architect in town beating a superhighway to your door with dream house fantasies no spec effort could hope to match.

Oh, and this (crummy) lot cost $28.9 million! Kidding me? As oceans go, this one is as good as any, but for almost $30 you can buy a helluva nice custom ocean-going superyacht that will give you much more “ocean frontage” than this back yard ever could. And imagine what kind of mansion you could have if so much loot wasn’t squandered on just the lot. Watch this price drop by quite a bit and deservedly so.

The nuclear-powered megalomaniac lawyer who built this superstore-abysmally-masquerading-as-a-single-family-home will, if he doesn’t sell it first before it’s finished, live in it for a couple of years max, using it to bolster and feed his inarguably huge ego hence the absurd size, never sincerely utilize even 1/3 to 1/2 of the square footage even once, go through a savage divorce and then put it on the market for maybe 3/4 to 1/2 of what it cost him to buy the lot & build it. Humans will generally never be able to realize that most of the time, more has never been, is and will NOT better.
