Splendid elevation front and rear. Breathtaking woodwork throughout. The Home Office alone is worth the price of admission. Nice big lot. Plenty of privacy. A few complaints – no alfresco facilities. Where’s the luxurious loggia with outdoor kitchen and fireplace? I don’t even see a pool house or pavilion. No elevator (!!!). Gee whiz, an elevator only costs between 30 and 40 grand – hardly noticeable at this level. Seven bedrooms (expecting company?) and only a 4 car garage? It’s a pretty safe bet the family that can afford this has more than 4 rides. No porte cochere to shelter guests coming or going in bad weather (there’s a lot of that in CT). It’s the duty of an architect designing a luxury mansion to anticipate and meet every conceivable need the owner, his family and his guests might have. For twelve million bucks, every box must be checked. We’ve all seen it done for half this price.
