Location doesn’t mean much to me anymore, as nowadays there are Walmart Supercenters and Subway sandwich shops everywhere. Beverly Hills? Who cares. That’s for suckers. I would rather enjoy a spectacular $37 million palace on a large and close-enough $2.5 million lot, than suffer with the compromises and limitations of a mere $20 million mansion stuck on an over-inflated single acre $20 million lot.

While I despise ANY, repeat ANY Costco-sized monstrosity pitifully masquerading as a single family home and this temple-to-egomania-and-unmitigated-greed is no exception, I, for the most part, agree with you Horselips. The POSTAGE-STAMP-SIZED lot for 39.5 MILLION dollars is BEYOND absurd. While I still think Beverly Hills is wonderful, luxury real estate prices in California and waaaaaay too many other states & cities in this country are CLINICALLY INSANE. WHat I’ll never comprehend in a million years is that prices are STILL THAT HIGH in Cali when the entire state is JUST about to COMPLETELY RUN OUT of fresh water…………incomprehensibly mystifying.
