A bit gaudy and dated. Also, I find that jump in the price a bit strange. In addition, it seems interesting how it last sold in 2005 for 4.25 million. Unless the home recently had a huge renovation and/or addition I think the sellers are out of their minds.

Magnificent mansion. These classic styles and decors have survived the centuries because their designers did their work well and got it right. They will be ‘revived’ by mansion builders forever. Too bad the same can’t be said for modern and contemporary efforts. I love the place, although it does need more of a garage. It’s classy, and the high level of craftsmanship is evident throughout. It sends all the properly arrogant messages – wealth, power, prestige, luxury and privilege. As for the price, like all high end real estate nowadays, it’s just a starting point that nobody takes seriously. I expect it to actually sell for considerably less.

Picture 1 makes the house look attractive. Picture 2 reveals the truth. Daylight is not a friend to this house.

It fails to sell at $6 million so they up the price to $9 million in an area where even $5 million homes at 20,000 sf sit on the market for years?? Someone please give these people a reality check since their realtor failed to do so.
