The exterior is lovely and so is the view. However, the layout seems so compartmentalized. The rooms just seem like they were designed by themselves with no flow from one to the other. A lot of the rooms are also awkwardly proportioned, and the furniture gets lost in it all. The price is also extremely optimistic. Fort Lauderdale doesn’t command those prices, even if it does have this much water frontage.

If it were me and I wanted an estate in Lauderdale, I would have bought the former Huizenga home. Quirky, but overall much nicer IMO and it has over 700′ of waterfront.:

There’s always going to be houses that are nicer, and houses that aren’t, and no house will ever be perfect unless you design it yourself, that said, this particular house is majestic and impressive, especially the elevation. It’s too large for me – I’m not interested in the kind of social life this mansion was designed to host. Nevertheless, would I live here if I could? Not just yes, but Hell Yeah!

LOVE THE EXTERIOR, AND ESPECIALLY THE FORMAL DINING ROOM. PALM TREES ARE ONE OF MY FAVORITES, GEE THAT BRINGS BACK MEMORIES GROWING UP IN FLORIDA.
