Location: 270 El Bravo Way, Palm Beach, FL

Square Footage: 16,000

Bedrooms & Bathrooms: 9 bedrooms & 9 bathrooms

Price: $44,500,000

This newly built (still under construction) mansion is located at 270 El Bravo Way in Palm Beach, FL and is situated on 1.4 acres of land with 170 feet of lagoon frontage.

It’s not officially on the market but it’s listed as a “Make Me Move” listing on Zillow. A “Make Me Move” listing is a home that the owner has set a “dream price”, a price they’d be willing to sell it for, as well as to test the waters and gauge interest.

It is owned by Gary and Terri Schottenstein, who bought the property back in February 2013 for $9,035,800 and demolished the existing home to build this one.

It was designed by Dailey Janssen Architects and features approximately 16,000 square feet of living space with 9 bedrooms & 9 bathrooms.

I’ll save my final judgement for the final product, but it is a very odd layout. I guess they wanted to have a gatehouse entrance a la the home across the street (which was formerly owned by Curt Gowdy and underwent a STUNNING renovation). It just looks odd. I personally think the motor court is too large and the garages should have been positioned backing up to Island road, not El Bravo Way.

As for the price, it depends on the quality of the final product. This is Palm Beach and the home is on the lagoon, so it isn’t totally outrageous.

what is the architectural style? Mediterranean or contemporary? It looks weird.
