I love this house, very reminiscent of National Park lodges. My only reservation is that it is very publicly visible, and more important accessible, from a public road. This is a very rural area in very unsettled times. So Architecture: 10, Security: 1. They apparently never considered a land buffer and this hardly looks like it is within a private enclave.

Security is worse than you might think. Colorado passed a law limiting firearm magazine capacity. Every homeowner, not just this one, is now at a distinct disadvantage.

I can see some logic in the ban on limiting firearm magazine capacity in public places, but hardly for home defense. Under some scenarios, “Walking Dead” confrontations are no longer pure fantasy. Guess I won’t make an offer on this one. It would have been fine in more bucolic days.

I’ve never seen such ‘cyclopean’ lumber. Another ‘beam & boulder’ barn with residential pretensions. I guess the Beverly Hillbillies are Movin’ On Up.
