Picture 10- Everybody’s favorite Freudian ‘water feature’ – locating the master bathroom toilet in front of a seven foot tall picture window. Say cheeeeeze!

The house is ugly, the décor is ugly, the location is dicey – all things considered, take your $18.5 million and run!

Ummmm, Horselips………While I agree the toilet in that shot (and btw, that’s not THE master bath….there are 9 of them) might appear to be poorly showcased with a large (just exactly how do you know it’s seven feet tall…..been there & measured it?) window next to it…..that window also looks onto what is most likely a private courtyard. And your descriptives of “ugly” and “dicey” are preposterous at best and passionately ignorant at worst……the house (if it can be called that…..it’s really a small botique hotel) are IMPECCABLY decorated in a perfect island vernacular and yeah, being what looks to be 4 or 5 minutes walking distance to the ocean with direct views of it can be called “dicey” about as much as the the HOPE DIAMOND can be called little.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the customer is always right. So, if I say it’s ugly, then it is, and if I think the long term outlook for socio-political-economic stability in the Dominican Republic is dicey and you don’t, we’ll just have to agree to disagree.

But don’t let me stop you – if you think this “small boutique hotel, impeccably decorated in a perfect island vernacular” is so desirable, BUY IT. And live happily ever after.
