Stunning – inside and out. I thought for sure this was an old house – but lo & behold is was built in 2007. Obviously designed by an architect with a true sense of class and style, and decorated with impeccable taste, at only $4.75 million, this home is a genuine bargain. The only down side is its location – New Jersey – but at least that’s a lot better than the PRC.

We’ve seen a lot of homes here selling for 2 to 3 times the price with a lot less to offer, and are a lot less attractive.

The decor does have a sense of class and style, it’s just not the style I’d chose for myself. But that’s OK, since it’s not my house 🙂

I almost can’t believe this is in Jersey. I’m guessing the owner is s a transplant and not a native. No offense but compared to the other NJ mansions we’ve seen, this place is a breath of fresh air. So many great spaces, so many fabulous features. It was well thought out and well executed. Love that stained glass dome.

I just can’t understand why the price is so low. Does anyone know about the neighborhood?

Look at it on Bing birds eye maps. The first thing one see’s when driving into this place is a wall of garage doors and not the front of the house. If you didn’t know you had to drive through the house, you would be hard pressed to know how to find the front door. It’s on a very difficult lot, shoehorned into a space with the runoff pond on one side and a road on the other.

Just looked it up. Really disappointed at all those garages facing the entrance road. Even though they aren’t as horrible s I expected them to be (the house is still fairly impressive from the road) I really wish they’d have thought of a better solution.
