Good lord these newly built Miami Mediterraneans are all getting to look so damn boring and the same. Zero originality.

I’m usually the first to bitch and moan about a lack of embellishment and ornamentation, but somehow it seems to work with this house. Despite a dearth of elaborate carpentry, plaster work, complex moldings, columns, pilasters, elegant windows, and other architectural perks of wealth, I find myself comfortable with this house. Maybe it’s the classy furnishings. A few nitpicks – the price is ridiculous, location be damned, waterfront or not, the sq. footage is small for a mansion, and just for poops and giggles, I’d have to convert one of those great big curved backyard staircases into a pool slide.

You can tell they tried so hard in the foyer but still failed miserably. Oh well, first impressions don’t matter much anyway.
