While it is on the gaudy side, the details inside and out are admirable. What isn’t admirable is the Deerfield Beach location. Even though Royal Palm is a stone’s throw from this, no one in their right might would pay $10 million+ to live in Deerfield. If this had been built on a point lot in Boca or Fort Lauderdale, the price would be on par. Terribly overbuilt for the area. In fact, I think this is the most expensive home in the city.

Phew! I was beginning to think things changed drastically from the time I left S. FL. Couldn’t figure out why anyone would build a house like this in Deerfield Beach. What were they thinking? It’s not as bad as that mansion built in Miramar, but it is still not ideal. Location. Location. Location. Why would anyone pay $13 million for a house in Deerfield when they can buy a house for the same price in Boca? Building a house of this size and expense in Deerfield was a huge mistake. I can’t believe they’ll get anything near that asking price.

I like some of it, but I get a strong drug cartel leader’s house vibe from this.

Hahahaha. I was trying to put my finger what it was that was tipping the scale from high end to something unpleasant, you nailed it. It does have a ‘my primary occupation is something shady’ vibe to it.

Oh, dear- that distressed kitchen cabinetry is horrible!

This reminds me a lot of the 50,000 square foot Hutchinson Island mega-mansion if anybody knows what I’m talking about. The interior and exterior styles and colors for both homes are identical.
