I really like this little apartment. The style is modern yet still inviting.

@A … “… this price is a steal.” Not really. It’s a “condop,” a hybrid of a co-op and a condo. The building doesn’t own the land it sits on, it leases the land. So the monthly charges aren’t just already astronomical, they’ll increasingly-escalate over time.

I was just pointing out that I have seen $20mil+ properties that don’t look much better..

When you look at the unit relative to the location, you get a lot of bang for your buck..I guess is what I’m getting at. But then again, you seem to have the practicalities of the price all sorted out.

This is a cute “little” modern apartment. I would not pay almost $9 million for this home. There isn’t anything exciting about it but, I do adore those light fixtures in the living room/dining room. I despise the closet. The wood looks cheap and of the same quality that you would find in the coat closet of a teacher’s lounge. The bathroom looks like a higher quality, carbon copy of the restroom of every mid-priced, non-suite room at a Holiday Inn.

I love the area; this neighborhood is one of my favorite in NYC. However, I don’t love this apartment or the building it’s in; I would much prefer a building with more character (and yes, I realize when you’re in it, you don’t have to look at it). I think the decor is even more impersonal than a lot of modern interiors we see, and it has a very strong upscale hotel vibe. I do like the study, but that’s about it.

This one is great, for a person or some folks that do not what a lot of color, and like to feel they are constantly traveling in some hotel, without leaving home.

This is like $50K in renovations max and they don’t even look good.
