Absolutely extraordinary. Guy Dreier is one of a kind. Love his work. A damn shame they can’t build homes like this in Florida 🙁

This gives a person the feeling of being in an elegant hotel. A reply to Daniel, they do not build homes like this in Georgia either, may be some day Florida and Georgia will catch on.

there isn’t any mountains in Dallas, but these are two houses in the area that span a creek, are modern and have a built environment/nature aesthetic to them.

The location and views are amazing and i approve of a large garage. The kitchen on the other hand sucks. Some bedrooms are nice and the whole outside water/rocks thing they’ve got going is cool, but then the view from the balcony also includes a large portion of a blank wall on the side… and so it goes. Good and bad.
It kind of reminded me of Nico Van Der Meulen’s ‘Glass House’, to me the ultimate modern mansion. This has similar feel about it, but is nowhere near as good in execution.

It looks like a hotel or an upscale assisted living center. The colors are so boring it looks outdated already 🙁

Truly spectacular, as expected from such a renowned architect. The only real problem is that the mansion seems very hemmed in by adjoining residences and backing hillside. So I doubt that it has views commensurate with the architecture, and you would have to settle for views only of the residence. They should have selected a better lot for this masterpiece, but I guess they were on a “budget.”

Did you see the pictures on their website? There are some great open vistas on at least one side and the surrounding hills are pretty spectacular as well.

I’m glad to hear the views are better than I assumed. Maybe I’ll make an offer after all. But then, I doubt they will take $10M. And I doubt that I could come up with that much anyway.
