Lovely UES abode. Just needs a good designer and you have an awesome property.

bee-YOU-ti-full…I like everything about it. the exceptionally executed entry façade, the tasteful interiors that respect the house but are clearly modern with collected objects and modern art. Everything! The only thing is the awkward floorplan, that only seems to be in houses in NYC, Chicago and SF. I suppose that’s true urban living for you- circa early 20th century. But it has been brought into this century quite well.

It’s gorgeous. The decor is not, shall we say, living up to the houses’s potential, but the house itself is a dream. I would SO much rather have this than some apartment that’s half the size and twice the price at 15 CPW.

I could have missed this being mentioned somewhere, but isn’t that the facade that they used for the exterior shots of the mansion the Sheffield’s home in The Nanny? I’ve always loved that home and it’s sure fun to see the actual interiors. Thanks for the historic home post! I much prefer historic homes than newly built homes. Thanks, Kenny!

That was a block over at 7 E. 75th St. It’s apparently, and sadly, has been turned into a 20-unit apartment building.

      That house was massive!

I loved that house to; every room although it might be a bit dated at this point…

Now this is my idea of ideal NYC living. And it is your own mansion, so you don’t have to mingle with all the billionaire riff raff jamming up manhattan these days.

When you’re my age, you’ll appreciate everything (or, at least, most everything) being on the same level.

Interesting. It’s half the price and twice as large as the NYC condo we saw last week. And this is what I mean. Even in NY you can get so much more for your money if you don’t insist on living on CPW. That condo can’t hold a candle to mansion. With the right decorator it will be even more stunning than it is now.

This is very nice and a fair price for the type of home it is and its location.

I love it, but it needs an elevator , and living in a home that requires an elevator is not my idea of a good time.
