River House, one of Manhattan’s most exclusive co-op buildings, wants to turn their private 5-story club into New York City’s largest residence. The River House was designed by classical American architect, William Bottomley, and was opened in 1931. The proposed residence will be approximately 62,000 square feet of living space, which is the size of 10 NY townhomes! The proposed renovation was designed by renowned interior designer Tony Ingrao. It will feature an 8,400 square foot entrance/living level with massive formal rooms with 20′ ceilings. The 27,500 square foot garden/entertainment level will feature a 62′ indoor swimming pool, tennis court, IMAX home theater, wine cellar, spa and a game room. The 15,000 square foot bedroom level will features a master suite with his-and-her bathrooms. The 6,000 square foot staff level will feature bedrooms, work areas and lounges. It is listed at a whopping $130 million!
