I like this more than the last Aspen house. I prefer its location on the edge of town, although the ski/in out of the last one is nice.

The interior looks decent, but the stark white walls need to go. The contrast between the dark wood and the other natural materials is too severe, and elements like the fireplace surround blend into the background. Softer colors would go a long way.

Even though it’s significantly smaller and in a different town, I prefer this: http://www.54beaverdamroad.com/photos.html

WTF is up with the realtor’s web site requiring registration to view more than a couple of pictures? They do not need my e-mail address in order to show me a few average-quality pics of a house they want to sell.

    Ugly. No charm whatsoever.

All I have to say is 34 Million for 3/4 of an acre? THREE QUARTERS?
I know it’s Aspen, but YIKES!

A simple structure (relatively speaking) composed of strong, basic geometric shapes plugged together in an open configuration. It’s all triangles, rectangles and squares, oh my. The simplicity, size and scale make it an adult version of a lego block house. I love the traditional exterior and that the interior is so, not traditional.
With a few simple tweaks, like cutting off 12,750 square feet and moving it to Virginia, this could be my fantasy home. Also, lets strip that harsh brown finish off the ceiling brackets, support columns and cabinetry and leave the wood natural. Also, all of those interior entertainment extras (indoor swamp, shooting gallery, car sized lazy susan, etc) can go as well.

The landscape is remarkable for long walks and exercise. One of the entrances from the exterior back, looks like a small modest church.

$40 million for this, is this a joke?
