While this mansion isn’t for sale, we thought we’d share it with you anyway! Located at 900 N Alpine Drive in Beverly Hills, CA, the home is owned by Shahram Afshani who is a local real estate developer. It is situated on 1.5 acres and features approximately 21,525 square feet of living space with 7 bedrooms & 9 bathrooms. Shahram bought the land in 2005 for $7.5 million and built the home in 2009. It features a limestone exterior with a domed front entry. I really like the use of circular windows, definitely unique. I’m guessing the interior is pretty opulent! We’ll just have to wait and see if he puts it on the market.

Some of the Art Nouveau details are nice. Hate the portholes everywhere though.

I like the art nouveau influences, especially the entrance awning, but something ain’t right with this. I’m guessing it’s a victim of height restrictions, but the central turret should be several feet higher. Because the roof is so low, the œil-de-boeuf windows set into the slope don’t look right. The back looks much too plain.

I’ve read many a review, where architectural integrity was compromised, due to height restriction. Very simple fix: don’t build it, if it can’t be built correctly.
Based on the exterior, I thinks it’s best that no interior pictures are available. Best left to the imagination.

Yep, definitely seems to be a victim of those height restrictions, what a shame.
