    Oh, I so would……
Pity the modern glass structure behind it isn’t included as another wing. Then it would be the ultimate urban hideaway.
Actually, on second look, maybe it is …. Sold!

Surprisingly boring, dull, and lifeless. Over-remodeled in my opinion.

I want to like this, I really really do. But I just can’t get excited about it. Picture 2 (a music room?) looks wonderful, but the rest of the rooms just aren’t nearly as interesting. It’s nice enough, but there’s no soul to it.

Never thought I’d say this about a French mansion located in (OMG) France, but there’s absolutely no oomph. How is it that the French-inspired American homes have more of a wow factor than an actual French mansion located in Paris?!? Took me completely by surprise. Who would expect a French estate to be boring? Has the pendulum swung the other way?

While I can agree that the decorating might be a little flat for some folks, my eye immediately went to the beautiful entry, the scale of the rooms, and most especially, those beautiful outdoor spaces. I would have no problem furnishing this house to my liking. The fact that this is in the city proper is the lure for me. An old property with modern touches is what really gets me excited about this place.
Having said that, I would also gut that kitchen and make it more distinctive and warm.
Too bad theres no pictures of the bedrooms and bathrooms.
( and too bad I could never afford to actually buy or gut anything since I’m a broke-ass artist ) :)
