Exterior ain’t bad. It’s interesting to see a colonial-themed layout with Mediterranean touches. Interior is pretty bad. Foyer looks like a lobby to a hotel. Bedrooms are nice and spacious.

The thumbnails made me think I would absolutely hate this place, but when I looked closer I was wrong. The exterior is a mix of styles that I wouldn’t think works, but it does. Even the back, which usually looks like an afterthought on houses in this price range, looks good, although the pool area is really boring. I’m not sure what the space in picture 2 is meant to be used for (living room?), but it looks awkward and uncomfortable. Fortunately it’s all uphill from there. The rest of the rooms are interesting; more than that they look like someone spent time on them. Most of the spaces aren’t my style, but it’s great to see that there is texture, pattern, and color, which is a huge step up from most of the beige blandness we usually see.

I agree with Grrrowler completely. The decorating isn’t my style but it makes this house.

They could not afford to build an enclosure for the fridge for $7 million? Not a bad house, and I am always a fan of courtyards.

I do like the style of combining Mediterranean with the Country Charm of Texas. The walkways does make a person feel a sense of tranquility. The interior does capture some of the outdoors, which is very appealing.

I’ve always admired this house, but was really sad to see that awful staircase. not that it’s bad- but it has no place in this house. I’d rip it out and put in a proper staircase. also, the interior design is not great- but opportunities abound for this house.
