This is almost next door to my alma mater.

The house is simply gorgeous. Most of the furnishings are too stuffy for my liking, but the rooms themselves are beautiful. The staircase is spectacular.

Could you provide a bing map link? I would love to see where it’s located.

Never mind Grrrowler. I found it. The Sotheby’s listing doesn’t have it, but then I noticed Kenny provided it. Duhhh…

Yes. Beautiful. Old and gracious with a touch of hollywood style whimsy. Tub is too cool and the stairs are funky as hell. Would be redecorating immediately. This looks like a fun, old, funky, classy place to live.

Agree. Very beautiful home with a lot of character. Decor changes are needed, but there is so much to work with! The pentagon of domed lights in the master bedroom is odd. Photo 12 looks like it is 4 different homes in one.

What a romantic place. Peaceful and restrained, it’s a truly beautiful, beautiful home. This is a home I would spend silly money on.

Exactly, me too. If I had this kind of money to dump on a home I would only purchase a historic home. Or drop oodles of money on some well educated architect to slave away for hours creating me a home to look as if it were a hundred years old.

Spectacular in every possible way. A truly magnificent property. Definitely old world charm and old money class.

Now why cant anyone build them like this and not like the bloated, gaudy, behemoths that saturate the upper end of the luxury market these days?
