There is nothing here that fascinates me. The exterior does have a nice color and highlight.

The exterior is on the right track, but it’s too plain; for this style of house there needs to be more detailing. The interior is way too stark for my liking; it has all the charm of a doctor’s office waiting room.

like the pared down exterior elevations. love the color and stately landscaping. not terribly wild about the interior. it’s too contemporary for me, but still tasteful.

What kind of crooked nonsense are they trying to pull in California? How are they allowed to quote garage space and pavilions as square footage? That is just an outright lie.

I’d really love to know what constitutes being a “world renowned architect” these days. It used to be you had to design some iconic public spaces or become sought after by the wealthy/political classes on a national level. Stanford White comes to mind as being one who achieved “world renowned ness” while alive and kept it after death. Robert AM Stern will likely follow the same path.
But realtors seem to think all it takes is a fancy website, a bunch of rich clients, and getting published in a few magazines which you have bought heavy amounts of ad-space from in the past. There is nothing iconic or notable about this home, and judging by their website and google, not too much iconic about this architectural firm. I’m not saying they’re bad, just that they aren’t “world renowned,” simply “good.”

Typical Atherton tech millionaire house. Would really be interested in the tech aspects of this house. Can the whole house be controlled by your iphone. Bet it can..

LOL. I agree with rob. Such a tech house. It’s also incredibly masculine. I’m sure it was some lovely nerd with money who lived here.

I think the house itself is fine. Not amazing but has it all. I just think they interiors are boring and monochrome. And the wrong colour too…beigey grey everything etc.
