This newly built contemporary mansion is located in Russia. The exterior is completed, but the inside is not. We all know Russia for having large, over-the-top homes with gaudy interiors (most of the time). This is actually different than many of the homes I’ve featured from Russia. I’d love to see what they would do with the inside. It boasts approximately 24,000 square feet of living space with formal living and dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen, home office and more. There is also a 4-car garage and a 2 bedroom staff apartment.

But they can sell it without making the interiors ready – to let the future owner decorate it with his taste.
Lexa, it is shell and core. You buy a property with unfinished interiors, and you either do it yourself (unlikely) or you hire a workers who finish the interiors for you.
Sadly the interiors will often be done by companies who believe they can do interior design work well. This is often wrong, but there are many fine cottages outside Moscow, but you will not see then on the market that often.
Shell and core is quite common in Russia, but not only there. And this cottage is located in one of the most exclusive areas outside Moscow. Should be an interesting project to follow
This is actually very very nice on the exterior. If the interior turns out anywhere close to as nice as the exterior, the house should be quite lovely upon completion.
So I guess this is Russia’s take on Wrightian architecture? It isn’t terrible, but it’s missing something (besides warmth). Curious what the interior looks like, but I’m going to guess it’s clad in polished marble.
Russian Prairie Architecture. It’s one of the best looking Russian houses we’ve seen on the blog, but that’s not much of a horse race. The garages facing the main entrance need to go.
I like it, damn, I must have downed way too much Russian vodka.
