Seems like one of the better Australian we’ve seen on here. Those front steps are comical though – maybe if you have 2 peg legs they would be practical. Tile floors look terribly cheap.

It definitely is one of the better ones. I love the foyer.

I don’t think steps like that would pass code anymore in the US.

It’s hard to get a sense of the front facade, but the steps are ludicrous. Who designed those?! The interior is nice and comfortable looking, in a somewhat boring Bombay Company kind of way. The backyard looks minuscule, and let’s hope the brakes don’t fail when someone is pulling into the garage.

I don’t understand the dining room placement. I wouldn’t expect it to get much use located so far from the kitchen.

I would describe this home as Palladian rather than French-inspired.

It’s definitely not bad at all compared to a lot of Australian homes we’ve seen, but the interior is let down by all that BEIGE. And…I know it’s a TINY detail, but I’m really irked by the bases of the four columns in the entry being turned 45 degrees so they’re diagonal.

Not bad overall, but the trendy exterior writes checks the interior can’t cash.

I agree. Elements are nice and unusual in a good way. Like the floor plan and foyer.

But the finish details are bad. The steps, the lights in the floor of the foyer, everything being very dated and beige, the garden size (though landscaped well).

In general the proportions of everything are strange too. Things are too small for the architectural and decorative features theyve chosen. Like the foyer would be major wow but it’s about a quarter the size it would be.

Sad that this is what 3.6 million USD gets you 45 minutes from downtown Melbourne. What does 1.8 million get you? Which is what I would value this place at max. LOL
