I like lots of the individual parts but all together its a bit much/tacky eastern europe oligarch.

Too many pieces with deep tufting and too many types of stone for me. And no thanks to most of the feature lighting.

Great floors and trim though. The wood around the fireplace and skirting is awesome.

Maybe the flashy covetable knightsbridge location demands all this over the toppness though?

For those oligarch’s with enough sense to cut through the One Hyde Park hype perhaps?

I know we overuse the phrase when describing London properties, but this really does look like a Candy & Candy designed property. I personally love the interior. Exterior not so much, and for $36 million you’d think they could Photoshop the RAV4 out of the photo.

Even for almost twice the price, I prefer the Mayfair house from Saturday. This one has a superb location, on a gated street practically on the edge of Hyde Park, and the exterior is nicer looking, but the interior is not as good. There are some nice spaces (I love the herringbone floors, and the closet is great), and some really good details, but some of the furniture is tacky, and I hate the living room rug. Yeah, I know that those are easily replaceable so there’s no point in informing me of that fact. Still, overall the interior is just “off” in some way.

This penthouse would be ideal for a single much older gentleman, who wants to attract a lady who is extremely conservative, who is very much into the agenda of the business world, and who does not like much extravagance.

I was half expecting to see Marlene Dietrich lounging on one of those gloriously tufted chairs in front of the fireplace. This apartment is very chic and seems to be trying for a modern take on the 1930s moderne look.
