I guess it’s different approaches to marketing to different customers. The under-saturated pics say calm, serene, and quiet. I notice those in many pics of houses in Montecito and of the more tasteful houses in Dallas. The over-saturated pics say glitz, glam, gloss, and gaudy (alliteration was not intended there). If realtors think it makes their houses look more exciting, they’re wrong.

Side note: Has anyone noticed that listing photos in the Atlanta area are typically de-saturated by about 10% or so, and listing photos in Florida, Arizona, New Jersey, etc are over-saturated by about 10%?
