Is it me or does everything look 3/4 of the size it should be, minus the kitchen island which is comically huge.
As Daniel mentioned, there do seem to be some odd things going on with scale. I’m suspecting that it’s skewed perspectives from the camera. Beyond that, I do like the place. I appreciate that the interior design respects the age of the house but doesn’t try to be a period piece. I also appreciate that it’s not been London-ized with an inappropriate modern interior installed.
I agree. An elegant, subtle formal interior to go to with a rustic exterior.
I don’t get the circular range hood in the kitchen. It looks like a huge eyesore to me.
To me it looks like someone forgot to attach the bottom end of the chimney.
It kind of reminds me of an adorable, miniature Victorian train station. But I do like the exterior architecture. I love the conservatory like pool. I am really interested in how a building this old got shoehorned into a neighborhood like that and didn’t end up on a massive piece of property. It sits well on the lot, though. Really reminiscent of the historical colonial era of Australia. Well decorated. I like it.
My first thought was Mary Poppin’s house!
