Hmm. For about the same price, I can get the same general home on the ocean in several cities in South Florida. I think I’d take Florida…

This is remarkable for being completely unremarkable. Other than the price that is. This could easily have been lifted from an Orlando suburb.

For the same money I’d choose Lyford Cay over Paradise Island if I wanted to be near Nassau. Paradise Island is full of new money while Lyford Cay is full of old. There’s just no comparison.

For a 5th of the price, I’d take this instead:

The listing from your hotlink is precisely what comes to my mind in a tropical seaside house. Some owners may find them too “primitive” and build a traditional house. Too bad.

    Nothing special in this house.

Shocked and dismayed. Not worth the price. I am with the others, would rather spend the money in Florida!

Actually, I’d disagree. The house itself is nice but could be found in a similar style in many high-end neighborhoods in many countries. What sets it apart is the neighborhood it’s in, Ocean Club estates. Lyford Cay has it’s perks but lacks the sense of community most people buying these days look for. Lyford Cay is on New Providence but is much further removed from Nassau, the city center than Ocean Club. Ocean Club has more amenities now and has a peacefulness you just don’t see in most high-end communities now. If you’re really set on being closer to the airport and in the most “to-be-seen” place, then you’d probably find something in the same price range but with most esteem in Albany Bahamas
