Let’s just get the obvious point out of the way first: the quality of the pics is just awful.

The back of the house looks better than the front. The garage wing is unbalanced and looks like it sunk. Having a more proportional second floor would have helped. The living room is interesting, although it feels like a midwestern church. With better furniture it could be interesting, but whoever convinced the owner to hang those drapes should be punished.

The timing is perfect on presenting this listing since it is the home of Turnberry’s Jeff Soffer . If you don’t want his ‘clubhouse mansion’ in Las Vegas , maybe you will want his Aspen house, the former guest house of the Prince Bandar Estate . Poor Jeff is selling off everything to keep his head above water ….maybe this will humble him enough to stop acting like a D-Bag. He hides his ownership of this property under Star Mountain 3 LLC , based in Aventura, Florida .

    BTW , I dig the copper roof ! 🙂

Mr. Soffer had, and sold, one of the most beautiful boats built in recent years: Madsummer (now named TV and owned probably by Emilio Azcárraga). It was one of the first things to go when he hit hard times.

I saw the model of Madsummer in this house. The only reason he is selling the house is so that he can move to a larger property for his kids to have more space.

It’s great if you have money to burn and are just looking for location. Otherwise, I have looked at a lot of other Aspen real estate lately, especially in Woody Creek and there are better deals out there. This is beautiful, but no bargain.

John, If anything, Soffer will be moving to a SMALLER house for his kids NOT larger . Lawsuits seem like they are popping up everywhere, he has dumped his Ferrari race cars, Elle Mcpherson left him , and if it wasn’t for his Dubai investors in Fountainbleu Miami he would have lost that too . The only reason why he still has a small Feadship yacht re-named ‘Madsummer’ is since he had taken it on trade from the Mexican guy who bought the bigger ‘Madsummer’ ( now re-named ‘TV’ ) . His spending habits and large living has caught up with him and I bet his Indian Creek Island home comes available next . Loan payments are tough to make these days …… I don’t envy or hate this man..I wish him luck.

Randy – you have an unhealthy interest in his business and personal life. Do not believe everything you read or hear. Jeff still flies around in Challenger – yes the Global has gone, but he is far from going to the poor house. And, actually he dumped Elle. These are all facts not random info.
