I think the exterior is attractive, but I have some issues with it. The garages jutting out in front of the house make it resemble a suburban tract house. The Victorian cottage is great, but I question building the way the new house was oriented in relation to it; the main entrance to the big house becomes insignificant.

I quite like the interior. I’d add some more color on the walls and in the art, but it looks comfortable, well-scaled, and homey. The view is a typically stunning Aspen view.

The house appears quite livable and I am not as bothered by the garage setup as Grrrowler, but only due to the informality of the place. This is a “Victorian cottage” not a pretentious Beaux-Arts palace, so the garages aren’t offensive to me. The price, however, is offensive. This place has 10K sq ft, no exceptional or artistic construction and one acre of land. Almost $20 mil sounds a tad high to me, even if this is the premier street.

I like the bathroom in pic 11 along with the kitchen in pic 7. The house is lovely. A bit high for me, but still a lovely house.

Glacier Scraped stone floors? Wasn’t most of North America covered by glaciers at one point? You can’t find a field in CT without New England potatoes (rocks left over from the glaciers)? What will the marketing department think of next? If they really wanted to go whole hog, they should have installed stone floors with natural fossils embedded in them.

This is overpriced. $19 million for 1 acre? I have seen other houses in Aspen that are nicer and on more acreage for way less. And I mean like half this price or less!

I love it! Everything about this home is approachable and welcoming. Love the stone fireplaces, and the views are killer. Unfortunately, like the previous post on the home in Michigan, the price is absurd.

I was just flipping through the pictures, nothing special. I was looking out the window views at the timber clear cuts (O.K., ski runs) until I got to pictures #14 and #15.
    I’d live on that patio.
