This newly built mega mansion (not for sale) is located on Compton Avenue in Haringey, London, UK. Compton Avenue is one of the top 10 most expensive streets in London with an average home value of £8,005,533. The boxy home looks to be in excess of 20,000 square feet and boasts a central atrium. A mansion that was on the existing land was demolished in order to make way for this one. We would love to see more pictures of it, so hopefully it will go up for sale once completed! FYI, the two lots (with existing homes) across the street from this home are currently on the market for a whopping £40,000,000.

Interesting below ground staircase. Looks like the start of a large atrium
Now I’ve seen everything — a site for a single-family home that uses an on-site, stationary construction crane!
I was just about to say… You know you’re boss when you have a construction crane building your family home :/
LOL. Now that’s the sturdy European construction techniques I was talking about a few posts ago!
Well, for residential homes it’s not really used here, except for really heavy stuff like concrete floors etc. But you keep that to a minimum because they sure are pricey!
Not exactly the most creative exterior. Kind of looks like a prop house with what looks like 4 different front exteriors. The crane seems like overkill and I’m sure the neighbors are pissed when it creates a shadow over their garden while sipping some terrible tea and nibbling on cucumber sandwiches.
I dunno. It’s better than a lot of the exteriors we’ve seen posted here. It respects its surroundings if nothing else. (Although by that measure, does every other house on the street being a tacky McMansion…make owning a tacky McMansion ok?)
Hey Kenny, I saw this a couple weeks ago and saw that Robert Adam is constructing the home, you can see more pictures and the original concept here… http://www.adamarchitecture.com/residential/London_Villa_g.htm
Well I’ll retract my previous statement. This looks fabulous up close. The stone detail is exquisite, and it looks very nice from ground level. And thank you Jesus, a newly built London home without a white modern interior!
Sweet, thanks!!
great link with some wonderfully designed homes
This house looks a little bit like the one in Beverly Park next to Eddie Murphy’s house.
Yes, you’re right Tony. You’re talking about 18 Beverly Park Circle. I see it too.
The aerial pics don’t do it justice. It’s thinks it looks very nice on the outside, looking at the Adam Architecture site. The single interior rendering gives me hope that the interior won’t be a pseudo-Candy & Candy knockoff.
Now that’s interesting. Top 10 most expensive streets. Puts a whole new spin on “Straight Outta Compton”..
You’re welcome Kenny. This area of London also is home to the Toprak Mansion, along with what looks like some other really big homes.
Nice city home. See also: http://artists-impressions.co.uk/artists-impressions-of-houses/
