Nothing says $11 million like a facade that is ultimately a wall. Even though it’s remodeled, you can immediately tell this is from the early 80s. Honestly, I probably would have bulldozed the house and started from scratch.

The phrase “silk purse…” comes to mind. It’s an $11 million teardown. Sometimes houses just aren’t worth remodeling.

It was probably better BEFORE the remodel. It couldn’t have been any worse.

When you take a 30 degree sloping roofline to it’s most extreme, illogical conclusion on influencing an interior, you get this “one foot in the trailer park” mess.

Good to see they kept the Brady Bunch door at the entrance to the man cave bar. You know, they were just short a thousand and couldn’t afford to replace the Greek key motif in the overly contrasting dark wood. And you can never have too many mix and match chandeliers.

Bought for $8.3M in ’06 and how bad of a decision was that? Take a look at 8 Possum Ridge Rd down the street at $10.5M and have some wine with that cheese you’re selling.

“one foot in the trailer park”
LMAO! I knew this one would get some doozies! I agree, they should have just torn it down and started over. It can be a tragedy if that’s done to an architecturally notable house in the California Contemporary style, like something designed by Richard Neutra, but this is most definitely NOT in that category. It just looks like an overgrown 1970s rancher with delusions of grandeur. Arrrgggghhhh…those faux ceiling beams are going to give me nightmares!
