Interesting. Looks like it would be at home in Coral Gables or some high-end country club in South Florida. Dining room looks like the best room in the house.
How big does a retention pond need to be for it to be referred to as a “lake” in the listing?
The exterior isn’t bad for a mock Med, but it doesn’t belong in Greenwich. The interior has some nice details, but it doesn’t belong in this house.
I like the exterior. The interior sucks.
Very interesting style for Connecticut, too medditeranean. Most of the rooms on the first floor seem too white as well…
You should walk over after your tour of The Lake Carrington Estate.
The other Lake Carrington developer’s house
“European Inspired”…LOL. In the same way Honey Boo Boo is European inspired, because she’s white?
Seriously though, I’m more making fun of the marketing lingo than the house. How many “upper-brackets” houses are NOT in some way European inspired? Very few of them. The only styles we’ve uniquely developed, IMHO, would be ranchers, and “California contemporary”. And a handful of Frank Lloyd Wright piles. Almost all other modern/revival styles in the US are derived from movements that started in Europe.
I LOVE Honey Boo Boo!!!
haha
I love this home. There’s some unique materials and designs on the inside, like the master bath. I don’t mind this being a Mediterranean style in CT. Kansas City for instance has thousands of homes, yes thousands with tile roofs, stucco, etc. It somehow works. Much of northern Europe’s generic new builds are concrete with white stucco over it and red tile roofs. This is more Euro than those new concrete boxes in Europe, trust me.
