Today was a beautiful day so I decided to drive around the town of Saddle River, NJ and take some pictures of mansions. Hope you enjoy them! The last one is by far my favorite. It’s located on Twin Brooks Road and has been under construction for years. It’s GORGEOUS in person! Out of all the homes pictured above, which one is more your style? I personally LOVE French Chateau/European inspired homes, so the last one definitely stole my heart.

This is the Ellen Biddle Shipman Residence located at 21 Beekman Place in New York City, NY. Ellen was one of the most prominent landscape architects of her time and her husband was a playwright. They purchased the home in 1919 and then spent 7 years renovating it. They sold it in the 1940′s and after changing hands a few times, it was purchased in 2001 by Florida businessman William Rupp for $8.8 million. Rupp installed monogrammed gates and feuded with his neighbors, eventually constructing a two-story-tall “spite wall” to block their views of the East River. Yesterday I had the pleasure of touring the beautiful Lake Carrington estate located at 11 Langhorne Lane in Greenwich, CT. The home was designed by Boris Baranovich and built by Antares Development back in 2007 as what is known as a “couture ready” mansion in which the potential buyer has full control on what they want to do with the interior. It is situated on 9 acres and boasts a lake with fishing hut.

The mansion spans over 30,000 square feet of living space. Here’s the breakdown:

1st floor – 7,835 sq.ft
