1 looks insanely cheap. Inside probably looks something like the gaudy Ft Lauderdale home shown last week. Area its in doesn’t exactly look glorious. 2 looks like it’ll be a nice sandcastle. 3 is obviously the most promising. At least they took the time to layout the home and add some landscaping.

8339 Buena Vista Road in Bakersfield, CA seems to be the address of the mansion in 9-12… or is that just google maps playing tricks on me?

Also – (not the place for this question im sure, but i’ll ask anyway) A while back i saw an upmarket) estate where all the houses had a car garage at the front, and an airport hangar at the back, and all the houses had access to an airstrip. Does anyone know where this is? I’ve been trying to find it forever (or maybe i just dreamt it)

You didn’t dream it, I know what you’re talking about but now I’m banging my head against a wall because I can’t think of where it is either.

Okay, well apparently it’s a widespread thing (I did some poking around online)…there are a bunch of “airpark” communities across the country…this is probably linkage overload, but check these out:

      http://www.ll22.org/
      http://www.fly-in.com/

These next two seem to be more upscale:

      http://www.wellingtonaeroclub.com/
      http://www.stellarairpark.org/

And finally, here’s a site that you can search for properties for sale in airpark communities:
      http://www.aviationacres.com/default.asp

I know John Travolta has a home in an airpark community, although I don’t know where.

You’re welcome Kenny for the tips.

In reference to John Travolta’s house, I would love to see it in Bird’s Eye View that Bing Maps doesn’t have.

The completed Bakersfield home is connected to the owner of the “baby carrot” fortune… they developed the snack mini carrots!! Grimway farms

Okay, so the estate with the man-made lakes are at the address of 7158 Buena Vista Rd, Bakersfield, CA. I put the coordinates back into Google Earth, and that address now appears.
